Introduction to project brief

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portraiture_of_
Elizabeth_I_of_England
This part of year 1 is a unit based on the Elizabethan/Tudor period. We will be looking at the Hair and Make up of the 16th century. We will also be incorporating modern day influences from fashion, television and film and art to create an overall look in a few months called the New Elizabethans. I don't have a huge knowledge about this time period but I do know that Hair and Make up was very important to the Elizabethans. I am excited to learn about this part of history and I hope that everything I learn will be beneficial to me when creating my final look.

A little about me..
My name is Naomi Parsons, I am 20 years old and starting this blog to document my work whilst studying at Southampton Solent University. I have been interested in make up for about 6 years now and have taken a 1 year college course in Hair and Media Make up and have experience with numerous beauty and make up brands such as Mac, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Bare Minerals, Benefit, Dior, YSL and many more. I gained this experience while working in a beauty department helping with product knowledge and the release of new products and also dealing with customers of these brands on a daily basis. I have always been more creative than academic and I feel this course will help me become the Make up Artist I want to be.
